Joan Of Arc
This project is to create a concept design of Joan Of Arc for the English National Opera. Together with referencing the previous artwork of ENO such as Jonathan Knowles and David Newton. I have come up with a concept design that promotes the director's goal to succinct the audiences from the pinnacle moment of the performance.
The shadow depicts a crowd with a woman figure in the middle having the frustration gesture. While being under the moon that displays its enormous size of it, shows that there is someone who is bigger and stronger observing the actions of the situation. This explains that god exists to witness the day of Joan being killed.
